The Three Spheres of Coaching; The Skills Important to Coaching; and The 5-R Coaching Process. The course will be offered August 11 and September 15.

If you are intersted in any of these opportunities, please contact us at equip@efca.org.
MYANMAR FAMINE A severe famine recently took place in the bamboo-growing hill areas of west Myanmar. The famine was caused by rats, insects and wild animals that destroyed the crops. The people are seriously affected and are in great need.
For 15 years, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has had a church-planting ministry in Myanmar and is presently working to help these people affected by the famine. However, as it is a small, poor church, their ability to help is very limited.
If you or your church would like to partner with the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to help those affected by the famine, please write us at reachglobal@efca.org.
PERU EARTHQUAKE RECONSTRUCTION
Many of you heard about the earthquake reconstruction project teams we are receiving in Peru. The first team from Minnesota is there now, and the next team arrives in 10 days from Wisconsin. After that we only have one other team on the schedule. We are accepting teams for the fall and winter. We want to encourage more individuals and churches to get involved.
Even though it has been almost a year since the earthquake, less than 10% of people who lost their homes have a new one. There are houses to be rebuilt, but even more importantly, LIVES. You can be a part of both!
For more information, please go to www.touchglobal.org/peru.
CRUCIAL NEED FOR TEACHING STAFF IN EUROPE The Christian International School of Prague has a serious need for teaching staff this fall. Three positions remain unfilled (Science, Math, and first/second grade) and six teachers raising support remain under supported to come in time for fall.
Is there someone you know that God might touch to serve a six- or nine-month term overseas? Maybe it's you!
Please pray for God's provision and whether that provision might be through you as a teacher or supporter! Contact Judy Westrum at Judy.Westrum@efca.org or Leslie Johnson principal@cisprague.org.
YOUTH IN DAR God is opening up amazing opportunities for ministry among youth in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In this city of four million people on the coast of East Africa there is a significant Asian Indian community made up of some of the least reached people in Africa. Opportunities are opening for Americans with a heart for youth ministry to creatively engage youth in meaningful ministry with a goal of doing evangelism and disciplemaking in order to reach the students and their families with the gospel and to see house churches planted and multiplied.
ReachGlobal is in need of youth workers who are interested in living and ministering in Dar es Salaam in order to join the Youth in Dar Team that is already in place. If you know of someone with a heart for mission and youth and would be interested in learning more, contact Kevin Kompelien, ReachGlobal International Leader for Africa, at Kevin.Kompelien@efca.org. He will send you a DVD with more information on Youth in Dar as well as make that appropriate connection with the RG staff who are currently in Tanzania leading the ministry.
GREAT NEED IN INDIA India, with its one billion people, mostly unreached by the gospel, is one of the most strategic and exciting places in the world to engage in missions today. Since the ReachGlobal national church planting work was launched fourteen years ago, over 1,000 indigenous churches have been planted in India! Thousands are coming to Christ. As we celebrate victory, India still has more unreached people groups than any other country in the world. This presents both tremendous needs and opportunities for churches to be strategically engaged in the global cause of Christ.
Healthy partnership with nationals is one of the most effective ways to multiply healthy churches in the Indian context. More partners are urgently needed to come alongside nationals for the ongoing multiplication of healthy churches among all peoples in India. Partners join with the national movement through giving, training, sending short-term ministry teams, strategic projects, and prayer mobilization. Western church partners are encouraged to "adopt" a region in India and help with financial assistance, prayer, strategic projects, and short-term teams.
If you are interested in more information or would like to begin a dialogue about partnership in India, please contact reachsouthasia@gmail.com.
Currently one-time gifts are needed to meet the needs for the next quarterly field sending for our India regional national partners in September. If you would like to make a gift to the
India national church planting project, please send it to:
ReachGlobal 901 East 78th Street Minneapolis, MN 55420-1300
Please write "Indian National Church Planters' Project #5634" on the memo line.
BIBLE TEACHER NEEDED IN AFRICA During 2009, a short-term Bible teacher is needed at Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Tanzania. Do you know someone who might be interested? This person must have a minimum of a B.A., at least some Bible training, have a heart for teenagers, be willing to raise support, and be available either January-February, or March-May 2009. If you know someone, please contact reachglobal@efca.org.
GO SUMMIT Not often do you find experts from three major divisions of the EFCA (ReachGlobal, ReachNational, and EFCA TouchGlobal) along with district and local leaders at the same time and place focusing on the same theme: reaching lost people for Christ. But the October 4 Global Outreach Summit in Trumbull, CT, brings together 11 church planters, pastors, and missions experts to discuss strategies and options for your church to engage in local, regional, and international missions. Three tracks will be offered: Short-term Missions, Community Crisis Response, and General Missions, so send your missions committees, church boards, staff and others interested in short- or long-term missions and crisis response. For a list of the presenters, workshops and registration information for this EFCA CONNECT event, log onto www.efca.org/connect or contact roger.dorris@efca.org.

GODSIGHTING AND PRAYER GodSighting: Asia
At Macao Evangelical Free Church Gospel Center, the national pastor (Pastor Kong) is training six members of the congregation to follow-up new believers. Until now, the pastor has been doing all the follow-up personally. For the past year, this has meant a schedule of more than ten personal follow-up sessions per week. Soon, however, this important ministry will be delegated to these six new follow-up workers.
Since January of this year, Pastor Kong has been leading the church to become a cell-group church. This has required the training of quite a number of cell group leaders. Thirteen lay people are currently serving in that capacity. As soon as the cell groups reach a size of about 12, they will divide into two. New leaders are already being groomed in each cell group. The thirteen cell groups belong to four "zones," with Pastor Kong currently serving as the leader of each zone. Once multiplication of the cell groups begins to happen, the strongest cell group leaders will be promoted to become zone leaders.
Prayer
- Join us in thanking God for the work Pastor Kong is doing in the Macao Evangelical Free Church Gospel Center. Pray that God will continue to give Pastor Kong wisdom, strength and good leadership as he works with new leaders and the rest of the congregation.
- Pray for the new leaders that are being developed in this church. Pray that God's work would be multiplied through having more leaders to minister to the congregation.
- Pray that God would use the church to reach its community and greater Macao for His glory.
